Beginning October 15, 2023, Hall Health will no longer provide care for children younger than 14 years old. This change applies to all Hall Health clinics, including Primary Care, Travel, and Immunizations.
Hall Health values your children and families, and this has been a hard decision. There are two main reasons for this change:
- Hall Health has been caring for fewer and fewer children since the start of the pandemic.
- Key pediatric providers have left Hall Health.
With fewer pediatric patients and providers, offering pediatric care through Hall Health has become too much of a challenge.
Next Steps
Hall Health recognizes that this is a change for you and your family, and we want to support you through this transition.
Since there can be a wait to see a new provider, we recommend you start looking for a new primary care provider for your child right away. If you are unable to obtain care for your child after October 15, please reach out to us. We are committed to helping you access needed care for your child.
If your family has GAIP or ISHIP insurance, your insurance plan has been informed about this change. All insurances can advise you on your options for care for your child. We are aware that the UWMC Roosevelt Pediatric Care Center, UW Primary Care Ravenna, UW Primary Care Northgate, UW Primary Care Fremont, and UW Primary Care Ballard clinics are all accepting new pediatric patients.
Hall Health is grateful for our time caring for your child and your family, and for the trust you have placed in us. Please contact us at uwhhc@uw.edu if you need additional support during this transition.
