How I work with students: My first goal with students is to build a foundation of trust and comfort. My therapeutic approach draws heavily from multicultural and feminist frameworks and involves validating the systems and circumstances that prevent us from living fulfilling lives. I believe a person’s cultural context impacts their presenting issues and treatment, and I aim to affirm your identities and experiences. I also strive to create a collaborative space for us to address your goals and concerns in counseling.
Professional interests: Depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship and interpersonal concerns, ADHD, multicultural concerns, and identity-based stress.
Approach to wellness: My wellness centers around staying connected to others and to myself. I enjoy time with my family, my partner, and my pet birds. I deeply value my time alone, which I spend walking in parks and reading.
