Rodrigo has worked at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, as a SHIP Research Assistant, aiding underrepresented groups in achieving their research goals. He has also led clubs such as Chicanos for Community Medicine which provides a safe space and outreach to create solidarity for Latinos in the stem, and most recently he undertook the task of promoting the high school to college pipeline through the UW GearUp Program as a college mentor for students in the South King Country Area. Rodrigo uses his time and skills facilitating stem base work to prepare high school students for college. He is committed to working at the forefront of the equity of healthcare and opportunities for groups that need it the most.
