Healthy Connection – Disorder of Eating Group
College students often face high levels of pressure and stress, increasing their risk of losing balance. One way this stress can manifest is through the development of an eating disorder. The Healthy Connection—Disorder of Eating Group is a group therapy program designed to address common issues encountered by people struggling with disordered eating and body image. The group learns and practices healthy connections between the self, body, and eating behaviors in a safe and supportive environment. The group is an opportunity to reimagine one’s relationship with food and body. Active participation, a commitment to the eight weekly sessions, and participation in home exercises are all crucial components of the program.
If you’re interested in joining the Healthy Connection program, please call UWCC (206) 543-1240 and request to schedule a group intake / screening with either Seiko Ryan or Wendy Lendrum.
