Husky Health Center is an outpatient clinic designed for students. Husky Health offers a wide range of medical services in person, by phone, and via telemedicine.
Why Use Husky Health?
There are several advantages to using the Husky Health Center for your care as a currently enrolled UW Seattle student. One primary benefit is that your Student Activity Fee (SAF) helps subsidize the cost of your first medical clinic office visit or travel consultation each quarter. All visits with a medical provider are submitted to any health insurance you may have, but for enrolled, fee-paying students, the remaining out-of-pocket cost for one office visit per quarter is subsidized by SAF. For student without insurance, this includes the full cost of one office visit. The SAF subsidy cannot be used to cover other costs at HHC, including lab work, vaccines, imaging procedures, or medications. Subsidized services are only available to UW Seattle students during quarters in which they are enrolled.
Another great reason to choose HHC is our convenience and focus on the UW student experience. We are located across from the HUB in the center of UW Seattle’s campus. The Rubenstein Pharmacy offers prescription and over-the-counter medication, and is conveniently located within the same building as Husky Health Center. We are a member of the UW Division of Student Life. We’re closely associated with UW Medicine, and our board-certified providers medical providers hold UW clinical faculty appointments. We provide a diverse range of services. Husky Health Center achieves the highest standards of outpatient medical care, as recognized by full accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.
How to schedule
To schedule an appointment for medical care, walk into Husky Health, or call us at 206-685-1011. If you are an existing patient, you can also schedule through our patient portal, MyChart. All visits are by appointment only (except our Pharmacy).
Same-day care for UW Seattle students
For UW Seattle students, same-day care is available for urgent medical needs. Please call us at 206-685-1011 to schedule an appointment.
After hours options
Students with health care needs after hours can get prepaid medical advice from a nurse or visit an urgent care clinic. UW Neighborhood Clinics has several locations near campus.
