Shannon Bailie

Simultaneously, Shannon began working in crisis intervention as a Social Worker at Harbor Medical Center Emergency Department where she trained and worked in mental health assessment, substance use, sexual assault, domestic violence, suicidal ideation intervention, as well as with chronic homeless populations and other crisis intervention responses.
In 2007, Shannon was appointed as the first Director of Livewell at UW and developed and implemented a holistic program model addressing the overlap of multiple health and wellbeing topics on college campuses.
Shannon has also been involved in the provision of brief intervention trainings on college campuses, including efforts to promote screening for alcohol, suicide, and interpersonal violence. She has published on college student health and wellness issues, and provided keynote addresses and presentations focusing on college health promotion and intervention services.
