My name is Kai-Wen, and I’m currently a first-year international student in UW’s Master of Social Work program. I was born and raised in Taichung, Taiwan, and earned my BSW from National Taiwan University in Taipei. Three years ago, I was an exchange student at UW, so this is my second time here as a “new” student! If you’re also navigating life at UW, you’re definitely not alone.

As a Peer Wellness Coach, I value empathy and active listening, and I strive to provide a supportive, judgment-free space. You’re welcome to speak with me in English, Mandarin, Taiwanese, or Korean. I have experience and passion in working with children, persons with disabilities, and undocumented people. My deep passion for connecting with people from diverse backgrounds is woven into my compassionate way of educating and supporting you to become the best version of yourself that you love.
